I am so blessed to be a part of history...being witness to the beginning of the Biewer Terrier’s full acceptance into the AKC Toy Breed Group. My journey began in 2020, and I thank God for guiding each step along the way. I wanted to go all in on this breed, so I joined the Biewer Terrier Club of America, and from April 2020 to December 2025, I was an active member and served in several volunteer roles including; Marketing Manager in charge of building the website, ecommerce portal, optimizing the site for the search engines, creating the online membership application, custom programming and the Social Media; Judge's Education; fundraising; Meet the Breeds in San Diego. Though I have resigned as a member, my commitment to integrity, transparency, and the betterment of the Biewer Terrier breed is stronger than ever. I have met kind breeders and dog show mentors, found lasting friendships, and discovered a deeper purpose in raising and showing this joyful breed. My hope is to honor the Lord in how I care for and share my dogs, and to bless others through a lifetime of love that these sweet companion dogs bring.
Edelweiss Biewers is a leading Biewer Terrier breeder, fancier, and exhibitor located in San Diego, California. Our Biewer Terriers attend AKC dog shows up and down the West Coast, from Northern California, including Carmel, Santa Rosa, Woodland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, to Southern California, including Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and San Diego County. We also venture to shows across the United States, including Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Florida. Our Biewer Terriers have proudly competed at the National Specialty in Orlando, Florida, showcasing their exceptional quality. Elvis (my foundation male) earned Reserve Winners Dog at the inaugural event in Florida. At just 9 months old, Nova won the Puppy Sweepstakes in 2024 in Orlando, securing the prestigious Biewer Terrier Puppy of the Year award.
I am focused on building an excellent foundation of Biewer Terrier puppies who are health-tested and have fantastic conformation. I'm committed to furthering the breed through purposeful breeding for excellence in structure, health, and disposition. Every breeding begins with prayer for wisdom and that God will protect both mama and puppies as they develop, and that each puppy will be blessed with the absolute right home. My goal is to raise dogs that reflect not only the beauty of the Biewer Terrier but also the love and care that come from my heart.
Each day, I thank God for allowing me to live this vision and share the joy of the Biewer Terrier with families across the country.

These little sweethearts flourish in homes where they are treated as family. They love people and respond to affection. They are adaptable, but still need gentle guidance, social time, and a handler who loves play as much as quiet cuddle moments. That's not to say that these littles can't perform in dog sports, become a Canine Good Citizen, or excel at tricks, as they are often brilliant.

About Us
A Dog Lover From The Beginning...
I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. When I was in my twenties, I was at the vet with my Boxer, Honey, and a woman walked in with a pair of Yorkshire Terriers. I fell in love right then. It took about eleven more years before I finally got one of my own, and she lived up to her name, Joy. She brought such a light into our home, and I know God placed her in my life at the perfect time.
In 2019 I started looking to add another dog to our home and came across the Biewer Terrier. The moment I saw one, I knew that was the breed for me. Their beauty caught my eye, and reading about their temperament and charm drew me in. I also felt it was time to finally pursue a dream I had carried since my twenties: showing dogs.
Because Biewer Terriers were still rare, it took some time before I found a female puppy. When I brought home my girl Mercy, she stole my heart. She was sweet, eager to please, and full of personality. She was also a learning experience for me as a newcomer to the breed. I had been sold Mercy as a show prospect, but she arrived with structural faults that did not fly in the show ring. At the time, I trusted that the breeder understood what I was looking for and assumed those faults would be outgrown. That is rarely the case. Her value as a loving companion, though, was immeasurable. Mercy taught me how to be a trainer and an owner handler, and I am forever grateful for her love and place in my life.
Then came Elvis all the way from Latvia... and my dream came to fruition.

Through honesty and education, I hope to strengthen the breed and help others understand what makes the Biewer Terrier so special.
At the heart of it all is a deep love for these little dogs and a desire to see them happy and healthy in homes where they can live out the purpose they were created for, to love and be loved.
